Austrian Frontrunners – Industrial Companies on their path to Climate Neutrality 2040

 

The NetZero2040 project is a planned initiative of the Climate and Energy Fund that aims to achieve climate neutrality in the Austrian industrial sector by 2040. This goal is achieved by focusing on Austrian frontrunner industrial companies and setting an example for other industrial companies in Austria based on the defined measures to achieve climate neutrality. The participating industrial companies commit themselves to CO2 neutrality in 2040 and overcome the associated challenges through innovative key technologies “Made in Austria”. The project partners of this initiative support the participating companies with their expertise in the field of industrial decarbonization with the alignment of their corporate strategy and the creation of a suitable roadmap.

Project tasks of the Chair for Energy Network Technology:

  • Supporting participating industrial companies to achieve climate neutrality by 2040 through expertise from various preliminary projects and dissemination within the corresponding networks, such as NEFI.

Project duration:  01.01.2020 – 31.12.2023
